BSBI’s Faculty & Research Academic Awards

On the 12th of January, the BSBI Academic team acknowledged the contributions of three outstanding faculty members.

Our first awardee is Dr Maryam Mansuri, Head of Postgraduate Studies, DBA Supervisor and Scientific Journal Associate Editor. Dr Mansuri has a track record of academic publishing composed of a variety of papers on Virtual Education, Management, and Formulation of Irrigation and Drainage issues. She was also named a Rising Star of Global University Systems in 2021.

Dr Farshad Badie, our next awardee, manages several key projects and is also the new Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics. He holds various projects and posts such as Post-Doctoral Centre Coordinator, BSBI Gazette Associate Editor, Scientific Journal Associate Editor, and Artificial Intelligence Conference Moderator. He has a track record of publishing a variety of journal papers, book chapters and conference proceedings on Formal and Cognitive Logic, Symbolic Artificial Intelligence, and Information Science. BSBI is very proud of these remarkable achievements.

Our final awardee, Dr Palanivel Rathinasabapathi Velmurugan is a lecturer, manages the BSBI Management Society and is a regular participant in the Provosts’ Roundtable. He is responsible for creating events related to debate and presentation skills, finance themes such as budgeting, planning, forecasting and many more. He is currently a resource for Human Resource Management & Finance academic streams.

The overall successes of our Faculty and Research team translate to the number of initiatives they have produced in 2022. Apart from individual professional accomplishments in their areas of expertise, the three awardees have been fully committed to the betterment of our student and alumni community.

Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Professor Dr Kyriakos Kouveliotis FRSA, shares his congratulatory message: “I feel very proud of our colleagues, and I want to congratulate them for their astonishing support to the development of the school. I also want to stress that all our faculty members have been amazing in regard to their contribution, and we are all looking forward to seeing their new initiatives for 2023”.
