BSBI will now be able to provide A1-C2 German language tests, allowing students who have studied the language to test their proficiency at the school. BSBI will also be offering all of its students the opportunity with special pricing for the test at the end of their programme of study which aligns with the school’s vision of supporting students with integrating into the German market and community.

German Citizenship Application

The Zertifikat Deutsch / telc Deutsch B1 is recognised as proof of sufficient language competence for a German citizenship application.

Examination process

telc exams consist of a written and oral exam. The written part examines your skills in reading comprehension, listening comprehension and written expression. Grammar knowledge and a vocabulary that corresponds to the level of speech play an important role in all parts of the exam. The oral examination takes place in teams. Two test candidates speak together about the given tasks and topics. You will get 20 minutes of preparation time before the oral exam starts. You will be given the exam tasks and can take your time to prepare them.

Please make sure to be on time. We recommend arriving on campus at least 15 minutes ahead of the exam.

Please take into account that it takes around six weeks to receive the results. Marking is done by telc gGmbH.

You will receive you an official certificate afterwards. Please note that in case you can´t pick it up at our Berlin campus there will be an extra charge of €8 euros for shipment.
