Supporting Student Wellbeing

At BSBI, student wellbeing is an important part of the learning experience. Our Student Welfare team offers a range of services designed to support our students’ wellbeing, encourage personal development and help them feel connected throughout their studies.

Available both online and in-presence across BSBI campuses, our welfare services provide flexible access to professional guidance, wellbeing resources and community initiatives wherever students are studying. In addition, selected in-person programmes are available at our Berlin campus.

Whether students are looking to develop healthy habits, connect with the BSBI community or access confidential support, our Student Welfare team is here to help.

Wellbeing Awareness Campaigns

Campaigns focus on topics that are relevant to student life, including:

  • Digital Wellbeing
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Integrity Matters
  • Anti-Harassment

Being Well Microcredential

The Being Well Microcredential is a self-paced online course designed to help students explore the key pillars of wellbeing.

Through interactive learning and personal reflection, students can build practical wellbeing skills while progressing at their own pace. Upon completing each pillar, students receive a digital badge that can be added to their professional profiles.

Mindful Monday

Mindful Monday offers students the opportunity to begin each week with a 15-minute mindfulness session, available both online and on campus.

These guided sessions encourage students to pause, focus on the present moment and develop habits that support overall wellbeing.

Safe Space Counselling

When additional support is needed, students can access Safe Space Counselling—a confidential service that provides guidance for managing stress, personal challenges and wellbeing concerns.

Appointments are available both online and on campus, with counselling offered in English and Spanish.

Building connections

What’s Your Story

What’s Your Story is a monthly community gathering where students can share experiences, exchange advice and connect with others in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Whether discussing life as an international student, adjusting to a new city or navigating new experiences, these sessions encourage open conversations and remind students that they are not alone.

Students are welcome to participate in the discussion, listen to others or simply spend time with the community.

Additional Wellbeing Support in Berlin

Alongside the services available across all BSBI campuses, students at our largest campus in Berlin can also benefit from the following in-person initiatives.

Personal Development Workshops

Designed for new Bachelor’s students, these workshops provide practical tools to help students organise their studies, manage stress effectively and develop financial awareness as they begin university life.

Buddy Program

The Buddy Program connects new students with experienced peers who can offer practical guidance during their transition to life at BSBI and in Berlin.

Buddies provide support on everyday life in the city, studying at BSBI, university processes and building connections within the student community.

  • "For most students, moving abroad as an international student is a daunting process. Getting to a new school with foreign students from different places who have different cultures makes it even more intimidating for most of us. The student's welfare services have helped a lot in this transition and throughout the school journey and the help we have received is not limited to school programs. We have confidential sessions, group sessions that help you remember why you came and short mindfulness meditation sessions on heavy days like Mondays just to help ground ourselves as the week starts, amongst others. I am personally grateful for the sessions I had with Sangeetha during the worst time of my life and even now when I am good. I am also thankful for Francisca for guiding us, the smile in the corridors and the effort she put in knowing all the countries in the world, their flags and capital cities to make sure we all feel seen, while also leading mental health initiatives to help to students take care of their mental health. We are grateful for the Students Welfare for making BSBI a safe space to be. "
