BSBI students visit Facebook offices

BSBI students recently visited Facebook’s innovative offices in Potsdamer Platz, Berlin. The event, called “BSBI Meets Facebook – Insights From a Global Tech Company”, was a great success.

The outing was designed to help students gain an insight into Facebook’s recruiting and career culture as well as to see how they use Facebook as a force for good in building communities.

During the visit, Fabian Koester, EMEA Recruiter and Johannes Baldauf, Policy Programme Manager, led presentations on Facebook careers, social impact and community literacy. After the presentations, students were able to partake in a Q&A session with Facebook employees, touching on everything from how to land a job at Facebook to data protection regulation and social policies.

The event concluded with a full office tour and students taking a group photo in front of the official “Facebook Wall.”

Catherine Flynn, Student Services Manager at BSBI said: “The event was very insightful. Students had a wonderful time and left feeling very inspired and motivated. They had a great experience, the organisers really took the time to answer everything in great detail and made us feel very welcome.”
