BSBI student attends ‘Migration and Poverty’ conference

From 19 to 20 September, Dr Moumita Mukherjee, who is currently studying at Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI), took part in the “Migration and Poverty” conference organised by the University of Salzburg in Austria.

The event was organised by the Centre for Ethics and Poverty Research (CEPR) of the university, bringing together researchers from different disciplines, backgrounds and experiences working on the complex and manifold relation between migration and poverty. The conference is open to young scholars and academics who have the possibility to present papers to the attending audience.

Dr Mukherjee, who is currently studying for the Global MBA at BSBI, was invited to present her quantitative research during the conference after looking for the opportunity to share her work. She commented saying: “I was looking for international conferences on development economics and I found this initiative.

“I sent them my paper titled ‘Childhood Under-Nutrition, Inequity and Vulnerability Dynamics: Case Study of the Sundarbans Delta Region, West Bengal, India,’ and had the honour to be invited to present it.”

Chad Manian, Lecturer at BSBI, supported her in finalising the content.

Congratulations to Dr Mukherjee for her achievement!
