BSBI Paris students receive “Leadership Skills for Specialists” Certification

From 5th to 9th June 2023, students from the Berlin School of Business and Innovation – Paris Campus completed the Leadership Skills for Specialists Certification at IC University of Applied Sciences – Amsterdam. Guided by Professors Erik Schmit and Eric Jan Doorenbosch, the programme took inspiration from Stephen Covey’s book ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People.’ The programme explored leadership and management theory, focusing on the challenges of transitioning from specialists to leaders.

Through interactive activities and morning lectures, students gained deeper insights into their personalities, priorities, and goals, enabling them to develop their own mission statements. They also had the opportunity to visit local industries, museums, and participate in a boxing clinic which focused on coordination and synergy. The programme concluded with a memorable boat tour, fostering reflection and connection.

The Leadership Skills for Specialists Certification provided a comprehensive learning experience, equipping students with essential tools to excel as leaders in their fields. Offered as part of the institution’s ‘Shorts’ programmes, taught by experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders, the certification emphasised practical application of acquired knowledge.

Amsterdam’s vibrant atmosphere served as an inspiring backdrop, immersing students in a new cultural experience and facilitating connections with peers from diverse backgrounds. Reflecting on their time in the city, students expressed satisfaction with the programme, which functioned as a catalyst for their personal and professional growth, empowering them to succeed in future leadership roles.

The IC University of Applied Sciences – Amsterdam specialises in bespoke Business Administration training since 1979. It is accredited by The Netherlands National Government Accreditation Organisation (NVAO) for their BBA Programme and holds the Quality Mark of the NRTO, the leading trade association for private education in The Netherlands.
