BSBI Launches Art Contest for Students

Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) has launched the ‘ART in the era of COVID’ competition, inviting its students to show off their creative talents.

All BSBI students will be invited to submit their artistic creations for the opportunity to win prizes, and most importantly, share their artwork with fellow students and staff at the institution.

The initiative aims to encourage students to express themselves through arts and crafts, providing them with a fun activity to take on to help them cope with the difficulties of lockdown.  Professor Anastasia Kiritsi, Lecturer at BSBI, said: “The prolonged isolation has been hard on everybody, and creativity has been shown to help distract from these feelings.

“Crafting helps to focus our attention and forces us to be completely immersed in the moment. Creating something for ourselves and others also helps our sense of self-efficacy, or the belief in our own abilities. We hope that this initiative will give our students the opportunity to dedicate their time to something positive, channelling their energies into creating something original to share with others.”

Students will have until Sunday 20 December to submit their creations. The three winners will be announced on Wednesday 23 December.
