BSBI DBA students participated in Berlin Science Week

Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) students from the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) recently participated in Berlin Science Week, contributing to discussions exploring research practices and academic freedom.

The students attended two thought-provoking sessions: ‘Evaluating Researchers: Ambitions and Realities’ and ‘Hidden Research: A Performance and Discussion on Academic Freedom’.

The panel on evaluating researchers offered deep insights into how ambitions and institutional realities shape the evaluation of research work, highlighting the need for balanced and fair assessment criteria. Experts shared their perspectives on current standards and suggested reforms to foster a more inclusive, impact-driven research culture.

The second session was a powerful blend of performance and discussion, bringing academic freedom into the spotlight. Through artistic and intellectual expression, participants explored the critical challenges faced by researchers globally, addressing how restrictions impact the pursuit of knowledge.

These enriching sessions aligned with BSBI’s commitment to fostering academic excellence. The students’ participation underscored BSBI’s role in preparing future researchers to engage with pressing issues in the academic world.
