BSBI Hosts E-Class for MBA Maritime and Shipping Management

On Thursday 12 November, Berlin School of Business and Innovation welcomed two guest speakers to participate in an online class as part of the MBA Maritime and Shipping Management.On Thursday 12 November, Berlin School of Business and Innovation welcomed two guest speakers to participate in an online class as part of the MBA Maritime and Shipping Management The e-class for the Shipping Principles module was led via distance learning by two experts from Lloyd’s Register (LR), one of the leading providers of professional services for engineering and technology. Natassa Kouvertari, Project Manager, and Anna Apostolopoulou, Offshore Manager, held the session sharing their professional experience with BSBI students.

The guest speakers discussed a wide range of topics related to the industry, including classification in shipping and decarbonisation in the maritime sector.Part of the talk also looked at the application of artificial intelligence in shipping.

Students who participated in the e-class appreciated the opportunity to learn from the experts and hear their insights on some of the upcoming trends and innovation within the industry.

Great attention was dedicated to the impact of COVID-19 on the sector, the use of renewables and sustainable strategies as well as LR’s plans for the future.

BSBI Students Represent at the Amsterdam IC Shorts Programme 2025

From 28 July to 1 August 2025, selected BSBI students attended IC Shorts at the University of Applied Sciences Europe – Amsterdam. The week-long programme offered workshops on business planning, market research, branding, and pitching, alongside cultural and team-building activities. Guided by Head of Campus Operations Hamburg, Liz Fernando, students developed and presented business ideas at the Final Pitch Ceremony, where awards were given for Best Overall Pitch and Most Innovative Idea. All participants received certificates.
