Transportation in Barcelona

There are several different public transit services in Barcelona, including the metro, trams, buses, and even suburban trains.

The metropolitan fare allows you to use integrated one-zone tickets for journeys on public transport between the 35 municipal cities that make up the Barcelona metropolitan area (AMB), depending on the zone you travel to/from there are different fares. The entire municipal city of Barcelona is in Zone 1.

Integrated transport tickets

SINGLE TICKET TMB: This ticket is valid for one journey on the metro (except for metro stations Airport T1 and Airport T2 on line L9 Sud), bus or the Montjuïc funicular. It is an individual non integrated ticket.PRICE:2,40 €

AIRPORT TICKET: A non-integrated individual metro ticket for one journey between Airport T1 and Airport T2 stations on line L9 Sud and the rest of the metro network. PRICE: 4,60 €

T-CASUAL: Individual travel card valid for 10 different journeys. It can’t be used twice, by different people, in the same moment. In the case of one-zone cards, passengers have 75 minutes between the first and last validation when changing lines or mode of transport. Not valid for Airport T1 and Airport T2 metro stations on line L9 Sud. PRICE: 11,35 €

T-USUAL: An individual non-transferable travel card valid for an unlimited number of journeys in 30 consecutive days from the first validation. T-usual cards must be used in conjunction with any official ID document. Valid for Airport T1 and Airport T2 metro stations on line L9 Sud. PRICE: 40 €

T-JOVE (YOUNG PERSON’S TICKET): A personalised travel card valid for an unlimited number of journeys in 90 consecutive days from the first validation for under 25s providing proof of age by means of a valid national ID document, foreigner ID document (NIE) or passport. Valid for Airport T1 and Airport T2 metro stations on line L9 Sud. PRICE: 80 €
