PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The BA (Hons) Business Management degree focuses on developing your critical understanding of organisations, cultures and their management within the wider economic, environmental and social contexts. It provides a strong understanding of responsible management and leadership, and of the internal and external challenges organisations face in remaining profitable, competitive, and responsive to stakeholder needs.
The degree teaches management fundamentals in the context of the contemporary business landscape, so your skills remain flexible and adaptable as you progress through your career. It combines practical professional experience with creative approaches to develop your entrepreneurial spirit across disciplines such as management, leadership, strategic management, human resource management, sustainability, marketing, finance, operations management and research skills.

WHAT WILL THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE?

You will embark on an immersive, three-stage learning journey designed to transform you to a highly employable, strategic business leader.
In your first year, you will build a stong foundation by exploring how global markets function, how modern technology disrupts industries, and what makes an entrepreneur truly innovative and sustainable.
As you move into your second year, your experience shifts toward active management, where you will master data-driven decision-making, finance, human resources, and operations, while gaining the freedom to customize your degree with elective modules or even step away for a year-long professional placement or study abroad experience.
In your final year, you will challenge yourself to think like a senior executive, diving into strategic management, corporate ethics, and global marketing. Throughout the entire program, you will constantly bridge the gap between theory and practice, culminating in a research project and a professional practice module that mirror real-world corporate challenges.
Ultimately, you will graduate not just with a degree, but with a highly tailored skill set, a polished professional portfolio, and the cultural agility required to lead diverse teams in a rapidly evolving global economy.

YOUR LEARNING JOURNEY
You will develop a critical understanding of a wide range of organisations, cultures and structures and their management within wider economic, environmental, ethical and social contexts.
You will gain both theoretical and practical experience in responding to complex business issues through problem-solving and by leveraging opportunities that consider inter-relationships, behaviour and stakeholders.
You will develop a range of research skills and methods, culminating in the ability to conduct research independently. You will develop relevant skills and attributes that enhance employability and equip you to become an impactful, global and inclusive citizen.
The final-year Professional Practice module offers an opportunity to learn in practical business setting. The industry placement can be in form of traditional industry-based roles, consultancy or live industry linked projects.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Academic Profile
Integrated Foundation Year entry
This route is for applicants who do not yet meet the academic requirements for direct entry to the 3-year Bachelor’s degree.
Applicants should normally meet the following requirements:
- Minimum age: 17
- Completion of at least 11 years of schooling
- Academic qualifications equivalent to UK GCSE level, as assessed using ECCTIS / UK ENIC guidance
- Applicants who do not meet the standard academic requirements may be considered on an individual basis if they have relevant professional qualifications and/or at least 4 years of full-time work experience
3-year Bachelor’s degree direct entry
This route is for applicants who meet the academic requirements to enter directly into Year 1 of the Bachelor’s degree.
Applicants should normally hold one of the following:
- A school leaving certificate that allows access to higher education in Germany, such as Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, Matura or International Baccalaureate
- An international school leaving certificate equivalent to UK Level 3 / A-level standard
- BTEC/National Diploma or Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education
- An equivalent qualification accepted by BSBI Admissions

- IELTS: 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in each band) or equivalent. TOEFL IBT: 80. Pearson Test of English (PTE): 59. Duolingo English Test: 105+
