This pathway enables you to graduate with two prestigious qualifications, your Professional Master’s Diploma, awarded by BSBI, and a UK academic degree.

Please note that this option incurs an additional fee of €1,200, payable on top of your Professional Master’s tuition fee.

Admissions

The Admissions team plays a vital role in BSBI’s success and integrity, ensuring compliance with institutional standards and national and international regulations. They uphold the institution’s reputation while supporting students on their journey to success. 

OVERVIEW OF AN APPLICATION PROCESS IN PHASES

Application Submission

  • Agents submit applications via the GUS Gateway.​
  • The Admissions team receives the application through the SYS Review Centre.

Initial Application Review

  • Admissions checks the submitted documents and provides initial feedback via RC to the Student File (SF).​
  • Based on the entry route, the Admissions Officer confirms whether the applicant qualifies via:​
  • Standard academic route (Bachelor’s or equivalent),​
    • A combination of academic and professional qualifications,​
    • Professional experience only.

Applicants are asked to provide all required supporting documentation, including academic transcripts, references, CV, and personal statement, depending on the route.

  • For professional or non-standard applications, the BSBI Academic Committee reviews the case.​
  • An academic interview is conducted as part of the assessment (if applicable).​
  • If required, an AP(E)L form is completed jointly by the Academic and Admissions teams.

Offer Stage

Issues an Offer Letter with the Study Agreement and payment instructions.

  • If all documents are in order and the applicant is approved:​
  • The Admissions team registers the application,​

Agreement & Payment

  • Upon signing the Study Agreement, the applicant is sent a deposit request.​
  • Once payment is received and all documentation is complete, the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is issued.

Pre-arrival Communication

  • The Admissions team communicates with students before the course begins via Welcome Emails and Matriculation invites.​
  • International students are encouraged to keep BSBI Admissions updated on their visa application progress.

Final Admission Decision

  • The applicant is officially informed of the outcome.​
  • The student profile is updated accordingly.

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission, applicants must meet one of the following pathways:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (including vocational, technical, or continuing education), officially recognised at the same level under the applicable qualifications framework.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a role requiring Bachelor’s-level competencies (typically managerial or supervisory roles).
  • Have a combination of academic qualifications and professional experience.

Required Documentation for Professional Route Entry

1. CV

  • Must be up to date and detail relevant professional experience.

2. Work References (minimum of 2 required)

  • Must confirm at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Clearly state the job title, responsibilities, and employment dates.
  • Must be on official letterhead, signed, and dated within the last 6 months.
  • Must include the referee’s name, job title, and contact details.
  • Referees must hold a senior position.

3. Personal Statement

  • Clearly explain the applicant’s motivation for applying.
  • Demonstrate how their professional experience supports the chosen programme.

4. BSBI Employment Certificate

  • Issued by a company to confirm the individual’s full-time position, duration of employment, and main duties (template is provided).

5. Certificate of Employment History

  • Required from the Social Security system in Spain, or an equivalent document from other countries.
  • Must cover the period during which the competencies and skills to be assessed were developed.
  • Should include all jobs held, the start and end dates of each role, the type of employment, and contributions made to the social security system.

6. Additional Evidence

  • Applicants are encouraged to submit additional supporting documents, such as certificates, training records, micro-credentials, seminar attendance, or documents showcasing professional development, workplace skills, competencies, and academic or educational experience.
  • Each application is assessed individually and is subject to the final decision of the academic team.

For programmes delivered in English

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in a predominantly English‑speaking country; or
  • IELTS: minimum overall score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each component.

For programmes delivered in Spanish
Exemptions from Spanish‑language proficiency requirements apply to:

  • Candidates who obtained their undergraduate degree in Spanish from a recognised institution in a Spanish‑speaking country.
  • Native Spanish speakers.
  • Candidates who have completed their education in Spanish;

  • Professional Route Only (not eligible for double degree): The certificate does not need to include an official logo or company email address, but it must still be verifiable.

Credit recognition is available for:

  1. Professional experience
  2. Credits from other professional master’s programmes with CUALIFICAM certification
  3. Credits from official or accredited university master’s degrees and business schools.

Application Process: Applicants must indicate their desire for credit recognition when applying for admission and provide documentary evidence for credits earned in other recognised programmes or professional work experience.

Credit Recognition Committee: The equivalence of credits is determined by the Credit Recognition Committee, which includes the Dean, a faculty member familiar with the programme, and representatives from the Registrar and Admission Office. The committee’s decision is notified by the Registrar’s office.
