Global University Systems (GUS) and the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) are starting an important research project, ‘The Art of Living: A Comprehensive Study of Life Strategies’. The first step of this project is the ‘Character Development’ programme.

This programme will bring you the ability to analyse and plan your life, and most importantly, adjust and change your plans as well as projected tasks at any time with minimal consequences, using only the minimum necessary amount of resources.

Create your life plan and make your wildest and most ambitious plans come true.

Who is this programme for?

School dropouts, MBA/MA/MSc students, social workers, migrants, individuals experiencing middle-age crisis or post-traumatic stress disorder, and those shaping their future paths.

Why study this course?

Emphasising inclusivity, this course supports lifelong learning from school to real-world scenarios.

Learning outcomes

 Students will learn the following:

  • Develop long-, middle-, and short-term goals corresponding to the life strategies of personalities.
  • Identify and evaluate their own life strategy by considering available opportunities and resources.
  • Obtain advice on their own goals in terms of relevance and feasibility, taking emerging risks and limitations into account.
  • Engage with their own lives based on individual desires and capabilities.

Lecturer profile

Dr. Svitlana Samoylenko is an accomplished lecturer of business studies who has spent part of her career in international business development and management. Dr. Samoylenko holds a postgraduate degree in Philosophy of Science (PhD) as well as a Master’s degree in Management, a Bachelor’s degree in English Philology, and a CELTA certificate from Cambridge. She places a specific focus on preparing students to emphasise creativity, sustainability, innovation, and strategic planning.

As an experienced business leader, Dr. Samoylenko understands the importance of intercultural management. She has managed teams in import/export trading operations across Europe, Asia, UK, and USA, making her an expert in the field. Dr. Samoylenko has held senior management roles across a range of companies, cooperating with both privately held and public companies. Through her teaching, Dr. Samoylenko strives to instil in her students the skills they need to adapt to the ever-changing business environment.
