Role Summary

Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will include:

  • Processing of employee expense reimbursement, credit cards, expense claims and petty cash
  • Assisting with posting payments in Data Base and bank reconciliation process
  • Perform creditor reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Liaising and resolving outstanding queries with suppliers
  • Assisting with day-to-day banking, particularly electronic banking, including online bank statements (balance and transaction enquiries) and setting up and releasing payments
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of monthly expense report
  • Assisting with all aspects of accounts receivable to include debtors’ reconciliation, payment reconciliation, posting invoices etc.
  • Other administrative duties including document profiling and filing etc.
  • Assisting Management Accountant, Financial Controller and GFD with tasks and projects as required
  • Assisting with the preparation of other ad hoc reports including preparation of budgets, and forecasts, audit queries as required

Other activities as required to support the Finance team and the wider operation in delivery, including holiday and absence cover for the other team members.

 Qualifications & Education

  • Competent in MS Office Software, especially MS Excel (intermediate and above level)
  • Able to analyse data and present information in a clear manner.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Positive and intuitive approach to problem solving.
  • Flexible approach to working and the ability to cope with frequently changing environments.

Experience

  • Hands on experience as an account assistant with thorough knowledge of double entry and bookkeeping  
  • Working knowledge of accounting software
  • 2-3 years of experience
