BSBI celebrates ‘International Women’s Day’ with Val Racheeva, entrepreneur

Berlin, 4 March 2020 – Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) is excited to mark International Women’s Day (IWD) 2020 by hosting Val Racheeva, entrepreneur, in an inspiring talk at its Berlin campus on Thursday 5 March.

Val Racheeva is the founder of ‘The Female Founder Space’, a company that empowers female entrepreneurs to grow their own business; they provide interviews, online courses on business and leadership, as well as live workshops.

The talk will celebrate International Women’s Day by providing a focus on the world of business. Val will be sharing her experiences of overcoming adversity as a woman in business, as well as her successes, with students and staff at BSBI.

Val Racheeva is a change maker, entrepreneur and international key-note speaker. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she gained broad experience in international higher education projects, as well as start-ups and international business consulting.

After moving to Berlin, she met many women who wanted to create start-ups, but lacked a supportive environment to do so. In 2014, she created The Female Founder Space and since then, the platform has organised more than 120 events, workshops, webinars, networking and co-working days. They currently operate in 13 European cities and 9 countries, reaching out to more than 6,000 women.

Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) is proud to welcome Val Racheeva to mark the importance of International Women’s Day with its students. The theme for IWD 2020 is ‘#EachforEqual,’ and BSBI is committed to promoting gender equality within its activities and teaching.

Val’s presentation will be followed by an open Q&A session, allowing students to make the most of this encounter, and to add great value to their learning at the institution.

Val Racheeva, CEO of Female Founder Space & Co-Publisher “The Female Founders Book”

Val Racheeva is a change maker, entrepreneur and international keynote speaker. She holds a Master degree in Political Science and Global Economy from the Technical University of Dresden. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she gained broad experience in international higher education projects at TU Dresden, as well as start-up and international business consulting at BaselArea.swiss. However, she always had an inner calling toward something unknown and risky that can make a positive change in the world. Also, it was important to her that her work meets her inner values. After quitting her corporate job, she went on an entrepreneurial journey. Although the entrepreneurial road was very bumpy and she lived through many ups and downs, all these experiences made her the person she is now. She learned confidence, perseverance and what it means to be a leader.

After moving to Berlin, she met many women who wanted to create their own start-ups but lacked the supportive environment. She saw an opportunity where her experience, skills, vision, values and leadership could match together and at the same time contribute to a positive change. In 2014, she launched Female Founder Space, a global supportive community for female founders, entrepreneurs and creatives to kick-start and grow their business.

Within a short time, she was able to organize more than 120 events and workshops in 13 European cities. For many women, this became an inspirational moment to start their entrepreneurial careers. In 2016, she co-published “The Female Founders Book”, the first book in German language to cover 30 inspiring stories of successful female entrepreneurs from the German speaking-area, including a lot of extra information to guide women through the start-up process.

In spring 2020, Female Founder Space will launch an Online Academy for female entrepreneurs.

“My vision is to create more prosperity in this world and to make a positive change in society and environment by helping more women to become entrepreneurs and bring their innovative ideas to life”, says Racheeva.
