Learning and Teaching in Higher Education
programme overview
This professional certificate programme is designed to prepare early-career educators to excel in today’s dynamic higher education environment.
As institutions become increasingly concerned with technological integration, cross-border collaboration, and the global emphasis on sustainable development, the role of educators has become central to delivering strong student-centred education.
This programme equips participants with essential competencies in effective course design and delivery, role perception, pedagogical innovation, and assessment practices. More specifically, participants will explore the purpose and philosophy of higher education, emerging global trends, outcome-focused curriculum development, technology-enhanced and hybrid learning strategies, as well as constructive feedback and quality assessment methods.
With a strong emphasis on reflective practice and collaborative learning, the programme supports educators to enhance student experiences and adapt to changing stakeholder expectations. Special focus is placed on the ‘BSBI Didactic Model’ — a structured and flexible interactive teaching framework that participants can readily adapt to their own teaching systems.
