UE, BSBI and GISMA organise GGG Summer Career Fair 2024

On 27 June 2024, BSBI, in collaboration with GISMA University of Applied Sciences and the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE), hosted the GGG Summer Career Fair 2024 for students and recent alumni.

This major employability event, held at the UE Berlin campus, marked the third Career Fair organised by GGG. The fair featured 32 companies, ranging from startups and medium-sized enterprises to multinational corporations, including names such as IBM IX, Emirates, JobTeaser, QCELLS, Odoo, Wayfair, and many more, and attracted over 500 students and recent graduates from BSBI, GISMA, and UE.

During the fair, students engaged with representatives from various industries, including banking, healthcare, government, recruitment agencies, insurance, software, automotive, e-commerce, design, hospitality, and gaming. They attended company presentations, received CV assistance, and had professional photos taken. The Careers Service teams from BSBI, GISMA, and UE provided a comprehensive and enriching employability experience for all participants.

Company representatives praised the diversity and preparedness of the students. Olga Maier, HR Generalist at Odoo, remarked: “The Career Fair has been really nice, and everyone was amazing today. The students are very interested, and we had some great conversations with them.”

Students were thrilled by the wide range of organisations and the networking opportunities with company representatives and fellow participants. Enica Ancha Oriel Sitoe, a Global MBA student at BSBI from Mozambique, shared: “What I liked the most today was taking good professional pictures for my LinkedIn profile, and the CV check was very helpful. I gained valuable insights on how to create a CV that attracts employers.”

Following the main event, visiting organisations and hosts participated in a networking session, sharing experiences, feedback, and exploring avenues for future cooperation.

BSBI eagerly anticipates the GGG Autumn Career Fair and the opportunity to once again provide this invaluable experience to the students and recent graduates of BSBI, GISMA, and UE.
