The ‘Paris’ Forum on AI and Digital Transformation: Building a Sustainable Tomorrow

On 11 September 2025, Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) in collaboration with PPA hosted The ‘Paris’ Forum: AI and Digital Transformation – Building a Sustainable Tomorrow at its Paris Campus auditorium. The hybrid event brought together distinguished academics, researchers, students, and alumni to discuss the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies in shaping a sustainable and human-centric future.

The forum was hosted by Dr Ibrahim Baghdadi, Vice Dean of BSBI Paris campus, with Dr Akl Charaf, System Engineer and Researcher as the Chief Guest. The discussion panel featured a diverse line-up of experts and a student, including Dr Robert Wentrup, Lecturer at BSBI, Kevin Ogbodu, BSBI alumnus, IoT student, and Visa and Accommodation Officer at BSBI, Dr Saeed Mousa, Lecturer at BSBI, Dr Olajide Awokoya, Lecturer at BSBI, an Isaac Ayuk Belombo, Global MBA → RNCP Titre L7 student, BSBI/PPA.

Expert insights on AI and digital transformation

In his remarks, Chief Guest Dr Charaf expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to contribute: “I was glad to be part of the panel presenters. It was a great chance to share my views on emerging AI technologies and their connections with 5G and 6G in driving global digital transformation, especially in industry. We also explored potential negative impacts and how they can be addressed. The panel shared valuable thoughts on the geo-economic and geopolitical aspects of AI, as well as the crucial role of education in building a human-centric AI.”

Reflecting on the success of the event, Dr Baghdadi noted: “The panel discussion was highly successful and insightful. It explored AI’s transformative impact on business and sustainability, with visionary presentations from distinguished experts and students. Key topics included AI’s role in sustainability, emerging global tech landscapes, technology diplomacy, digital entrepreneurship, IoT applications, and strategies for future 6G development. Events like these strengthen BSBIParis’s role as a hub for innovation and thought leadership, while advancing our vision of empowering students with transformative opportunities.”

The forum also gave students and alumni a platform to connect theory with practice.

Kevin Ogbodu described the event as a milestone in his professional journey: “The event was truly a milestone in my career, taking me to the next level. It was very educational and insightful, and I hope such sessions will take place again.”

Emefa Adordie highlighted the immediate value of the discussions: “The AI workshop was insightful and engaging, providing practical knowledge I can apply immediately, especially to my upcoming final-year project and my current job in food quality management.”

Subhan Basit emphasised the diversity of perspectives shared: “The AI and Digital Transformation workshop was very insightful, especially the discussion panel. It was fascinating to hear different perspectives on the future of AI and its relationship with humans. Professor Robert’s insights were particularly striking, showing the gap in AI advancement across different nations.”

The forum not only provided participants with deeper expertise across disciplines such as business, marketing, finance, and economics, but also reaffirmed BSBI/PPA Paris’s commitment to creating a vibrant academic community.

From 28 July to 1 August 2025, selected BSBI students attended IC Shorts at the University of Applied Sciences Europe – Amsterdam. BSBI Hosts Largest Graduation Ceremony to Date

On 22 July 2025, Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) marked a significant milestone with its 9th and largest graduation ceremony held in Berlin, Germany. A total of 288 graduates and 228 guests gathered from 33 nationalities, representing BSBI’s Berlin, Hamburg, and Paris campuses. Graduates came from 16 different programmes across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate levels.
