BSBI Careers Service team organises a cover letters workshop for students

On 29 January, the BSBI Careers Service hosted an insightful workshop, “Cover Letters in Europe”, at the Alte Post Berlin campus, helping students strengthen their job applications in the German, French and Spanish markets.

This interactive session provided practical guidance on crafting compelling cover letters, including proper formatting, essential content and tailoring motivation statements to specific job descriptions. It also covered industry-specific considerations for creative roles and how emails can function as cover letters in professional applications.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of successful anonymised cover letters, offering students real-world examples and actionable insights. The session emphasised the importance of always preparing a strong, adaptable cover letter, even when not explicitly required, to maximise application success.

The BSBI Careers Service is dedicated to equipping students with the tools and industry insights needed to navigate today’s competitive job market. Stay tuned for more career-focused workshops and networking opportunities in the future!
