Global Academic Partnerships

At the Berlin School of Business and Innovation, we collaborate with global institutions to offer top-up and double award programmes that let students earn a second, internationally recognised degree

Double Award Programmes and MBA Top-Up Degrees at BSBI

At the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI), we offer both double award programmes and the MBA top-up degree in collaboration with our esteemed partner institutions. These distinct academic opportunities are designed to provide students with unique possibilities for international exposure, advanced qualifications, and enhanced career prospects.

MBA Top-Up Degree

In collaboration with our esteemed partner institutions, BSBI offers the MBA top-up degree for postgraduate students. This programme is designed for individuals who are expected to complete a relevant postgraduate programme or equivalent qualification. Eligible students can join BSBI for an additional period of study, typically 6 months, culminating in the award of a full Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from BSBI’s partner institution, University for the Creative Arts, London.

Double Award Programmes

In addition to the MBA top-up degree, BSBI collaborates with partner institutions to offer double award programmes in selected areas. After meeting the entry criteria of both BSBI and the partner institution, these programmes enable students to follow a coordinated curriculum that satisfies the academic requirements of both BSBI and the partner university. Upon successful completion, students are awarded two separate degrees, one from each institution.

The Value of a Double Award Qualification

Graduates with a double award qualification enjoy a significant advantage in the job market. Holding two degrees demonstrates a broader academic background and increased international exposure, which are highly sought after in the business sector.

Employers appreciate the depth and versatility that double award holders bring to the workplace, often resulting in higher employability and earning potential. Double award qualifications from BSBI partner institutions are recognised worldwide, allowing graduates to pursue broader career opportunities.

Students benefit from internationally respected qualifications, access to the academic expertise and resources of BSBI and its partners, enhanced career prospects in the global job market, and opportunities to experience diverse learning environments while building a worldwide professional network. Employers see double award graduates as more versatile, innovative, and capable of handling complex, interdisciplinary roles.

Faculty and Mentorship

Many of our faculty members hold degrees from renowned institutions, including PhDs and DBAs, and are actively engaged in research and innovation. They regularly contribute as guest speakers and published authors at international conferences and industry events. As a result, students benefit from expert mentorship that deepens their theoretical understanding and provides real-world skills, along with a corporate and entrepreneurial mindset.

Employability Opportunities for Double Award and MBA Top-Up Graduates

Earning a degree from our partner institutions opens doors to the growing European job market. European and German employers highly regard double award qualifications from accredited institutions, and graduates benefit from higher salaries and greater employment stability. MBA top-up graduates from BSBI are also well positioned for career advancement, with access to a broad network and international opportunities.

European MBA programmes, particularly those offering double award qualifications, consistently report the highest employment rates globally. Double award programme holders are also well-positioned for career shifts, with 62% of recent MBA graduates from European programmes, having successfully changed sectors, 59% changing job functions, and 54% changing geographic locations post-graduation.

A double award signals to employers a graduate’s commitment and readiness to tackle complex challenges across markets and industries. Studying in two academic environments also expands graduates’ professional networks, connecting them with peers, faculty and industry leaders across borders, which is crucial for career growth.
