Farzad Karimi is a Lecturer in Digital Marketing at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation, where he teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Business and Marketing. He brings over a decade of professional experience in digital marketing strategy, performance marketing, and marketing analytics, having managed campaigns for international brands before joining academia.
His teaching philosophy bridges creative insight with data-driven approach, encouraging students to think strategically while mastering the analytical tools that define modern marketing practice. Farzad is the creator of Digital Marketing Pro Suite: The Five Essentials, a professional certificate programme that equips students with hands-on expertise in Google Analytics 4, Programmatic Advertising, AI in Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Marketing, and AI-powered Content Strategy.
Farzad holds a master’s degree in digital marketing from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), where he graduated with Merit. His master’s thesis, Harnessing AI in Digital Marketing for Sustainable E-commerce Practices, explored how AI-driven personalization can foster consumer trust and promote sustainable purchasing behavior. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at the University of Klagenfurt, focusing on AI-personalization, consumer trust, and decision-making in digital commerce.
Before his academic career, Farzad worked as a Senior Digital Marketing Manager and consultant for agencies and startups, specializing in campaign optimization, analytics automation, and cross-channel strategy. His ability to connect marketing theory with real-world application has made him a sought-after lecturer and mentor to aspiring marketers.
At BSBI, he is deeply involved in curriculum design, industry collaboration, and student mentorship, integrating real case studies, live dashboards, and applied projects into his teaching. He is currently developing innovative teaching tools that merge AI, analytics, and creative strategy to prepare students for the next generation of data-driven marketing.
