We are looking for a Head of Student Services (m/f/d) for our team to manage non-academic student affairs for our Berlin, Hamburg and Athens campuses. This is a full-time role is based on our Berlin campus. In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Operations.

Your tasks

  • As Head of Student Services you oversee our non-academic student affairs, including International Affairs Office, accommodation, careers, student engagement, and pastoral care.
  • You are leading and coordinating our Student Service team, shaping the overall structure, assigning individual team member tasks and coordinating team processes and schedules.
  • You oversee the work of our student welfare officers in Hamburg and Athens, and you coordinate the administrative efforts of our support team in Hyderabad.

We are looking for a Student Advisor (m/f/d) for our Careers Team to support the service development at Berlin and Hamburg campuses. This is a full-time or a part-time role based in the Berlin office. In this position, you will be reporting to the Careers Service Manager.

 

Your tasks:

  • First point of contact in the Careers Service for students and graduates
  • Maintenance and day-to-day administration of the central BSBI JobTeaser portal which includes input and management of events, appointments, vacancies, online resources, partner organisation profiles and the production of statistical reports
  • Conceptualising and creation of Careers Service materials for students, graduates and members of staff as well as for partner organisation and external businesses and institutions
  • Close collaboration with the Campus Management, Marketing and Student Services Teams as well as with other colleagues located at BSBI campuses in Berlin and Hamburg

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The International Affairs Officer will provide visa support to all registered BSBI students and ensures compliance with all necessary visa regulations as per German law. The Officer will also support with the completion of any tasks required by their direct line management.  This position reports to the International Affairs Office Manager. 

In this role you will process day-to-day tasks of the visa support services provided by the BSBI. Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Being the central point of contact for all student enquiries related to student visa and compliance. This includes information about visas and student related residence permits (study purposes, working rights, post-graduate residence permit options), city registration, blocked bank accounts as well as health insurance.
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, by email and telephone and make referrals where appropriate.
  • Processing service support requests from a partner law firm and health insurance partner.
  • Be actively involved in the registration process ensuring student visas are correct, checked and uploaded into the student database in a timely fashion. 
  • Assist in the production and issuance of matriculation letters.
  • Assist in visa-related webinars.
  • Assist in students’ Inductions
  • Undertaking when necessary communications with various institutions

  • Excellent language skills in English (C1)
  • Excellent German language skills (C1)
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must in this position.
