Resumen
El Dr. Shiv K. Tripathi cuenta con más de veinticinco años de experiencia en docencia, investigación y gestión de instituciones de educación superior. Ha desempeñado el cargo de rector de Atmiya University (India). Anteriormente, ha ocupado distintos puestos de responsabilidad tanto en India como a nivel internacional, entre ellos: profesor y decano en IIHMR University (Jaipur); director ejecutivo (Management) en Chandigarh University (Mohali); profesor sénior y decano en CMR University (Bengaluru); rector de Mahatma Gandhi University (Meghalaya); profesor y decano de Planificación Estratégica y Relaciones Internacionales en CMR University (Bengaluru); profesor y director del Departamento de Business Studies en el campus de Dar es Salaam de Mzumbe University (Tanzania); y decano de la Facultad de Management en VBS Purvanchal University (India).
El Dr. Tripathi también ha sido profesor e investigador visitante en Coventry University (Reino Unido), en programas del Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (India) impartidos en Tanzania, en HEC Paris (Francia), en la University of the Witwatersrand (Sudáfrica), en ISAE (Brasil) y en el Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani, India). Asimismo, ha sido profesor invitado habitual en el programa de Máster CEMS de la University of St. Gallen (Suiza).
Es miembro de los grupos de trabajo globales de los Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) de las Naciones Unidas, centrados en la lucha contra la corrupción en los planes de estudio de Management y en la erradicación de la pobreza a través de la educación en Management. Ha trabajado activamente en la promoción de una educación superior orientada al desarrollo sostenible en India y África Oriental mediante iniciativas desarrolladas en colaboración con United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) y PRME. Además, forma parte del consejo directivo de la Humanistic Management Network (HMN) y lidera el capítulo de India.
Por su contribución al impulso de una educación centrada en el desarrollo sostenible, fue reconocido como Pioneer Professor por la Flourish Prize Initiative, la Case Western Reserve University (Estados Unidos) y el Secretariado de PRME.
Es graduado en Ingeniería Eléctrica y Electrónica y posee un Máster en Administración y Dirección de Empresas (MBA). Su investigación doctoral, centrada en las filosofías comparadas de gestión de Oriente y Occidente, fue pionera en este ámbito y dio lugar a la publicación del libro Corporate Yoga (Information Age Publishing, Estados Unidos, 2017).
Asimismo, ha completado diversos programas internacionales de desarrollo académico y directivo, entre ellos el International Faculty Programme de IESE Business School (Barcelona), el Management Teachers Programme Certificate de IEDC Bled (Eslovenia), el International Programme on Management of Sustainability de la Universidad de Tilburg (Países Bajos) y el Management Teachers Programme del Strategic Management Forum, impartido en algunas de las principales escuelas de negocios de India, como IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, XLRI e IIFT.
