The passion for the English language began for Ms Deta at an early age while taking English Literature courses in Churchill Junior High School of the United States, where she graduated from.

Overview

The passion for the English language began for Ms Deta at an early age while taking English Literature courses in Churchill Junior High School of the United States, where she graduated from. This led to acquiring the Certificate of Proficiency in English by Cambridge University when she returned to her home country, certified by the Hellenic Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs.

Her academic journey as an English teacher embarked at the age of 20 at a coaching school for about three years and later on when she was in charge of the English Language Programs of a private educational organization preparing undergraduate students to continue their studies in the United Kingdom. Her engagements included tutoring of TOEFEL, teaching literature and writing methods, specialized in interactive language learning.

Her interests however, extended beyond her English classroom and few years later she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management (majoring in Business Administration & Shipping) from the American College of Greece. Her maritime sector career included being a Vessel & Crew Operator to numerous prestigious shipping companies for about fifteen years, combined with Private Tutoring English Lessons to students of all ages.

Always having teaching at the core of her heart, Ms Deta explored the various methods and styles of teaching, acquiring the one that inspires and motivates the students by meeting their needs individually, helping them achieve their full potential.
